Commission Terms

These terms apply when you request or purchase a bespoke artwork from Good Ereseh, a sole trader based in London, United Kingdom. They should be read together with the Terms & Conditions, Privacy Policy and AI Commission Studio Policy.

1. Commission requests

You may submit a request through the Good Ereseh Commission Studio or another agreed channel. A request is an invitation for Good Ereseh to review your proposed artwork. Good Ereseh may accept, decline or ask for changes before accepting a commission.

Any AI-generated guidance provided during the enquiry stage is advisory only and is not a final quotation, acceptance, guarantee or contractual promise.

2. Reference photographs

You are responsible for ensuring that you have the right and permission to provide any photograph, image or other material used as a reference. You must not provide material that infringes another person's copyright, privacy or other rights.

Reference photographs may be reviewed for composition, pose, lighting, likeness, clothing, background and suitability for hand-drawn charcoal and graphite work. Uploading a reference does not transfer ownership of that reference to Good Ereseh.

3. Quotations and payment

After reviewing your brief, Good Ereseh will confirm the price and scope of the proposed commission. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, payment is split as follows:

• 50% deposit before work begins.
• 50% balance before the finished artwork is dispatched, released or delivered.

Any priority, express, special delivery or unusual material charge will be disclosed before payment and will form part of the agreed quotation.

4. Starting work

Good Ereseh is not required to begin work until the 50% deposit has cleared. Studio time, materials and scheduling may be reserved once the deposit is received.

5. Artistic interpretation

A commission is a handmade work of art rather than a mechanical reproduction. By commissioning Good Ereseh, you acknowledge that charcoal and graphite artwork will reflect the artist's judgement, hand, technique and interpretation.

Reasonable differences in tone, texture, crop, line, shading and composition are part of an original handmade work and do not by themselves mean the artwork is faulty or not as described.

6. Changes and revisions

Any material change to the agreed brief after work has started may affect the price and completion time. Good Ereseh will tell you before carrying out additional chargeable work.

Where a concept or composition preview is provided before drawing begins, you should raise requested changes at that stage. Changes requested after substantial drawing work has started may be limited or chargeable.

7. Completion times

Any completion date is an estimate unless Good Ereseh expressly agrees in writing that a particular date is guaranteed. Completion time can depend on size, complexity, number of subjects, reference quality, revision requests and studio workload.

8. Cancellation

If you cancel before work starts, Good Ereseh will assess what payment, if any, may reasonably be retained for costs or losses already incurred.

Once work has started on a personalised commission, the 50% deposit is intended to cover reserved studio time, work performed, committed materials and losses caused by cancellation. Good Ereseh may retain all or part of the deposit only to the extent permitted by law and proportionate to the loss actually incurred.

Nothing in these terms removes or restricts any statutory rights you have under UK consumer law.

9. Final payment and delivery

The remaining 50% balance must be paid before the finished artwork is dispatched or handed over. Delivery charges, where applicable, will be stated before final payment.

You are responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address. Please notify Good Ereseh promptly if your address changes before dispatch.

10. Copyright and use

Buying the physical artwork does not automatically transfer copyright or other intellectual property rights in the artwork. Unless expressly agreed in writing, Good Ereseh retains copyright in the artwork and may photograph it for record-keeping and portfolio purposes, subject to the Privacy Policy and any specific confidentiality agreement made with you.

You may display the physical artwork for personal use. Commercial reproduction, resale of reproductions, licensing or use of the artwork as branding or merchandise requires prior written permission.

11. Faulty or damaged work

These terms do not affect your legal rights if an artwork is faulty, damaged, not as described or otherwise fails to meet rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

If artwork arrives damaged, contact Good Ereseh as soon as reasonably possible and keep the packaging while the issue is reviewed.
